We Did It!
We had a great first week! The kids are doing a great job learning our routines, our daily schedule and classroom rules. We had a great time getting to know each other, learning about our classroom and playing on the amazing new playground!
Next week we will continue to complete projects that will help us learn about ourselves and each other. We will read many books and keep up all the fun we've been having already. We will also start Second Step which is our social/emotional curriculum. Look in your child's Friday folder for a handout that explains the lessons we will teach next week.
After Labor Day our music class will begin. We have Miss Lori coming back again this year. The kids and teachers love her!
Homecoming week is the second week of September this year. We will celebrate with a Spirit Week. It is not mandatory to participate, but if your child enjoys it that's great! Go East!
Spirit days this year are:
Monday Sep 8th - PJ Day
Tuesday Sep 9th - Favorite Team/Sports Day
Wednesday Sep 10th - Favorite Color Day
Thursday Sep 11th - Mismatch Day
Friday Sep 12th - EGR Day
A couple of reminders:
If you have not already done so, please send in your child's paperwork that we sent home including the photo release. We can't post any pictures to the blog until we receive them back for everyone in the class.
When picking up your child from the playground please make sure that you talk to one of us before leaving so we can mark down who picked up and we know that your child is safe. Thank you!
Blankets/stuffies will be sent home at the end of each week. Please wash and return on Mondays.
