Another successful week! Your kids are doing a great job with our routines, they are making new friends and we're having a fantastic time with them.
Next week we will talk about Feelings. We will complete projects that help them identify feelings, we will spend time talking about different feelings and read many books as well.
We will also start our letter of the week. Next week is letter Ff. Our Zoophonics animal is Francy Fish. We will practice writing the letter in our Handwriting without Tears book, build a letter F and learn many words that start with F on our letter board.
We will also be starting Bridges which is our math curriculum.
Our class will be counting the 100 days of school this year with the help our are plush canine friend Zero the Hero. Every 10 school days we will do a special activity. September 3rd will mark our first 10 days. Keep a lookout in Friday folders for what we completed!
We also will start Mystery Backpack. Each day a different student will get to take the backpack home. They can choose something from home that they'd like to bring in to show the class. In the backpack there will be a sheet where you and your child can come up with some clues about the item they've chosen. The next school day your child will get to share the clues and have their classmates try and guess what they brought. The kids get really excited about this activity! **The chosen item has to fit inside the backpack**
Our first music class will be next week. Music will be every other week on Wednesday mornings.
Just a reminder there is no school tomorrow August 29th or Monday September 1st.
