Turkeys and Being Thankful

Next week we will be learning about turkeys and what it means to be thankful as we get near to the Thanksgiving holiday. We have created some very fun projects to help us learn about these two things.

Our focus letter next week will be letter L. Lizzy Lizard will help us learn all about her letter!

Next week our music class with Miss Lori will be on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.

Starting Monday November 10th through Thursday November 20th WECC will be collecting food items to donate to Kids Food Basket. The 5's classes have been asked to donate pretzels and Cheeze Its. They need to be in big bags or boxes, not individual serving sizes so that trail mix can be made. Anything you can do to help is so appreciated! The kids will also be decorating lunch bags in class to donate. In the past the kids have really taken an interest in this project, and it starts some important conversations about giving and being thankful. Thank you in advance!

As the cold weather approaches please make sure your child comes to school with the appropriate clothes for outside.  If the temperature in below 55 degrees, it is mandatory that they wear a coat for recess. Also please encourage your child to independently get their coats on etc. They are big enough to be successful and when we get to snowpants and boots etc. it is very helpful if they can do a lot of the dressing on their own.  We're always there to help, but dressing 20 kids can take a while so anything they can do on their own is so helpful!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
