September 9-13
What a great bunch of kids! We have settled into our routines and things are becoming smoother as each day passes. I hope they are having as much fun as we are!
This will be our last week reading Pete the Cat books. I have so many great Pete books, below are a few of what we'll read this week. We will work on rhyming, cutting, patterning, and even do some subtraction.
We will start our rotating stations this week. The kids will be put in "teams" each week and will rotate between 4 or 5 stations during station time. They will stay at their station with their "team" until the timer goes off and then they move to the next activity. This is similar in Kindergarten and will help them focus on their tasks.
Our focus letter is L, Lizzy Lizard. We will practice writing the letter L using 1 big line and 1 little line. We will learn a song about starting our letters at the top. Together, we will make a letter chart at rug time of words that start with L. I will post pictures of our charts.

-Folders go home at the end of the week (Thursday for the M-TR PM group & Friday for the M-F AM group). Please return folders on Monday.
